In depth Interview with Guerrilla Alliance
February 3rd, 2010 by latinabeatz received No Comments »Thanks for this interview!
Mac: No problem.
What Projects were you guys working on before the Guerrilla Warfare LP began the creative and recording process?
VX: Mac had recently finished his debut “Werdz From the Rebel PT II” LP That album was Four years in the making, about as long as I spent on my freshman release. I also recently completed “The Sicilian” Mix CD which I did as a kind of prequel to my sophomore LP effort due this summer. One thing that kind of had a buzz was from our collaborations with The Holocaust Wu-Tang Killa Bee emcee native of L.A. In the summer of 2007 I managed him for a brief two month period while he was staying in Boston. At the time a group called “White Spider Assassins” had been discussed but do to a falling out The Holocaust had with the proposed members no music was ever recorded under the WSA name, and before The Holocaust left Boston, MA he confided in me that he’d prefer to just do the WSA project with me since he felt him and I had the best style. I agreed since I didn’t think anyone else that had been considered for the project was up to par with my self and The Holocaust lyrically. Holocaust ended up going back to the west coast to work on his new projects, it was a nice idea but due to other obligations I had at the time nothing was ever recorded as a group. Mac and I would still build with The Holocaust since the verse he gave us for “The Hidden Fortress” was epic. I never put much thought or emotion into WSA since we were busy building Guerrilla Warfare and establishing Planet X Records. Mac and I have always been more leaders than followers, I think these online “Wu-tang” affiliations are getting stretched nowadays especially with the whole “Wu-Corp” bullshit, who would want to be a part of that after Deck dissed them as fanboys?
Your group is called Guerrilla Alliance, How did the name form and who is involved in the group? (who does what)
Vega X: We came about our group name due to several collaborations we had done together previously where we loosely referred to our connection as … the “rebel alliance”, That name had already been used so we wanted to distance ourselves from that, and also to display our revolutionary philosophy. We collaborated again on Macabean’s album on track called “I-Ching” which we used to announce Guerrilla Alliance’s first appearance as a new group. The group consists of Vega X: Heaven’s Assassin emcee, and executive producer. As well as Macabean The Rebel, Emcee, producer/beat maker, graph artist and more. As Executive producer I pretty much picked the majority of the beats, with Mac’s help since most were from his collection. We both contributed with our rhymes, and I did a lot of the management and contacting the features for the collaborations. Mac and I started this as a 6 month project to help introduce PXR it’s now gone over two years for those who think making a quality album is easy.
Your first project releasing in sync with the groups name is “Guerrilla Warfare”, when is this releasing?
Vega X: Guerrilla Warfare will be released February 2010 available everywhere including digital copies, and limited pressed hard copies. Followed by a LIMITED pressed vinyl of the album singles.

What can we expect from Guerrilla Warfare?
Vega X: The most brutal and vicious revolutionary hip-hop album ever created. Mac and I sort of created this as a journey for PXR fans to travel through the conspiracy world and see different times, wars, and situations from a perspective Mac and I felt was missing from hip-hop. We wanted to announce our crew Planet X Records with a boom, and also to take out a lot of devilish reptilian snakes along the way. Right before the album we had been talking a lot about pseudo-revolutionaries who talk but never do, propaganda proponents such as Michael Moore, CIA double agents like Alex Jones, racists like Mel Gibson, Ron Paul the mason, and many more from royal Illuminati bloodlines on earth to Reptilians from Nibiru. Those are just some of the targets we went at on our music video single “Architecture of a Perfect Weapon” which will be released soon. We pretty much felt like there were a lot of fake “truth” movements going on controlled by the beast, and we wanted to expose that. I sort of had an idea of sampling William Cooper through out the interludes for an album concept, and Mac really expanded on that to bring out the concept in each track in a way that I had never even thought of. I think a lot of hip-hop groups think they have lyrically chemistry because they are friends, but they are unaware they that actually sound like shit rhyming together. One of the biggest compliments we have heard is that we don’t sound like we are trying to outshine each other on this album, it just flows smoothly.
Mac: Guerrilla Warfare at first sound will come off as more of a Documentary type concept. People watch a Documentary to have the full reference; full details of a story, or a conceptual subject. That is what this album pretty much is, except an audio version. We’re coming off with full fact of these treacherous, snake-like tactics being committed, and give people the true idea of independent thought.
Where are you guys from?
Vega X is originally from southern New Hampshire, Nashua now residing in Boston, MA. Macabean The Rebel is from The Bronx, NY and is currently located in Delaware. We are both planning on relocating soon, possibly with some other PXR members to strengthen our ranks.
Guerrilla Warfare will be released on The Planet X Records, is this an Indie Label?
Vega X: Correct, Planet X Records is the vision of Vega X C.E.O of PXR and Guerrilla Alliance Co-Founder. Macabean of G.A. also serves as PXR’s Vice President. PXR is an indie label run in conjunction with the other artists on the Roster, we have artists all over the country as well as affiliates over seas. Following the release of “Guerrilla Warfare” there will definitely be more PXR releases, including new solo albums from both Macabean and Myself. As well as projects from Aztech, Eratic, Stranga, and definitely more never before heard members.
In making this album, what type of messages & concepts are the focus in the tracks?
Vega X: I don’t think Macabean or I have either done a concept album with the amount of range that “Guerrilla Warfare” has. Two of my most requested songs are “Invasion” and “1984″ Since writing those; I really had not touched a concept track in some time. Then all the sudden Macabean and I come together for this project and we bang out like four or five concept tracks. I don’t want to give too much away, but “Inglorious Basterds” is an unconventional look at the history of WWII connecting the dots a lot of people may be unaware of. “Systematic Genocide” is a story track where our homie Schizo plays an American Army Ranger, Mac is an Al-Qaeda soldier, and my verse comes in the end as a CIA agent playing them both against each other. There are a couple of other concept tracks as well dealing with specific topics. Overall the messages are revolutionary generally dealing with the struggle against the ruling elite, exposing the new world order’s cover ups on a number of issues, We even go as far as to hint at the origins of man kind being extra-terrestrial. For the average hip-hop fan this might be too deep, but revolutionary fans are going to love it, this is just what they have been waiting for from what they have been telling me.
Mac: Plus their are tracks that in tune with a lot of in-depth topics. Like the upcoming scale of one world government (Mark of the Beast), we even get into the hiphop culture itself being infiltrated and partially, yet commercially controlled by freemasons and the illuminati (The Prophecy), and etc. Basically, there are tracks for topics that haven’t been covered much, yet there are tracks that have been covered by other artists, but i feel we cover a little more, and go a little deep beyond the spectrum.
What does Guerrilla Alliance bring to Hip Hop?
Vega X: Guerrilla Alliance brings much more to Hip Hop than music, we have both received similar feedback on our music even before we were a group and label partners. I’ve had people tell me that my music has lifted them out of depressions, and gave them the confidence to lift themselves out of their funk. People have told Mac the same, I’ve noticed heavy metal fans, and others who tells us they don’t even listen to hip hop, but that they loved our music because of its positive message. I would go as far to say that GA/PXR is pushing the limit of hip-hop we aren’t just bringing in GA/PXR fans to our movement we are bringing in new fans to hip-hop. I think a lot more intelligent truthers of the conspiracy community, and other places that research alternative history and the occult would be much more likely to listen to hip-hop if they heard more revolutionary artists. The problem is revolutionary and spiritual hip-hop is not played on the radio. Although Mac and I do consider ourselves revolutionaries we do not consider our music “political” we consider GA/PXR spiritual hip-hop music. As for what GA/PXR brings to Hip-Hop, it’s not only original music, but a path behind the music, a light that shines which I think many will be compelled to follow, that is unless they want our planet to go to shit, which is the path we are headed on now, and an apocalypse we warn about on the album on the track “Revelationz” feat. Armageddon.
Mac: I think Me and VX deliver more than what most can’t comprehend. Not on lyrical skills, but more to relating, in taking, or discussing this type of sh*t. Some heads out there already grafted an idea on what hip hop is, and what type of hip hop music is out there. Of course, they would label us as “Conspiracy rap”, but i feel labeling us under what probably more than 50,000 other heads trying to rap are under doesn’t make it any more interesting as a type of music that is trying to speak to the soul, but instead, trying to be a trend, or appeal to the popular fan base of hearing rebellion in the form of rap. Basically, I feel GA tries to separate from all that, and instead, we try to bring something more psychological, yet spiritual to hip hop
What is the first Single?
Vega X: While there are several singles out now, most would consider “The Hidden Fortress” feat. The Holocaust as our lead single. The Guerrilla Alliance vinyl will contain all of the singles all of which are collaborations featuring Armageddon, Shabazz, The Holocaust, and “Wrath of Kings” feat and prod. By West coast veteran Vee Eye of Namebrand llc.
Any Shows or Tours Planned?
Vega X: We will definitely start our mini-tour in the northeast, and hopefully have stops in the midwest on our way to the west coast. Release shows will be in Boston, NYC, Chicago, Philly area, and possibly some smaller city stops along the way.
Any specific features on Guerrilla Warfare?
Vega X: The album features Shabazz The Disciple, The Holocaust, Armageddon, EL*A*KWENTS, Stranga The Great, Vee Eye, Schizo Da Maddcapp, Rook Da Rukus, Aztech, Eratic and more. There will be several known artist collaborations, as well as several PXR family members featured on the album. Production was mostly handled by Macabean The Rebel, as well as Vee Eye, Keko, and more. But that is nothing compared to who we are building with in 2010, Let’s just say PXR albums will be crazy!
Guerrilla Warfare as a name for an album, and Guerrilla Alliance for a group name is an obvious political and war reference, would you say that to be true?
Vega X: We adopted our “Guerrilla Warfare” title from our fallen leader Ernesto Che Guevara, who knew once he became a victim of the new world order the revolution would live on through him. Mac and I are both heavenly influence by military strategy, both having trained ourselves as well as studying everything from Sun Zu’s “Art of War” up to Che and more modern revolutionaries. The War references are clear since we both had family fight in wars we wanted to pay homage American Veterans, some of which are artists on the PXR roster. This is how “Inglorious Basterds” came about as a tribute to my Grandfather’s tour of duty in Okinawa, Japan. As for political agendas, I consider myself to be an anarchist since I personally believe the best government is no government. One thing that kind of separates us from other groups is we are not pushing a specific political or religious agenda. We are just sort of laying out things as we see them, and letting the listeners decide.
Mac: For this album to sum up the detail of ‘Politics’ and ‘War’, is that ‘Politics’ are just tricks and games, and ‘War’ is a state of mind, whenever an aggressive conflict or just your everyday struggle. To us, we’re more in the basis of spiritual warfare with our music, hoping for others to relate to it. And when I talk spiritual warfare, i’m talking, fighting inside your soul, against fear, or against whatever outer-conscience is trying to control it. Thats our Music, internal conflict, used as a weapon to combat your enemies. I say True on the War part, False on the Politics though.
What are your Religious beliefs or are you guys more spiritual? is that a big influence on your music?
Vega X: I was raised Roman Catholic, but strayed from that path as I was only interested in the mystic, or supernatural aspects of The Bible. I began to study Modern Arnis Kung-Fu, Buddhism, Zen as well as other Eastern Philosophies. Mac considers himself a follower of Islam, as well as Stranga The Great of PXR. It is safe to say we are both influenced by everything from Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, to Malcolm X, MLK, JFK, Dr. Malachi Z York, all the way to the ancient Hopi, Mayan, Egyptians, and Sumerians. We are definitely more spiritual. Some people are taking their Wu-Tang fanboyism way too far, to the point of attempting to convert to Islam for the sake of their online rap career, and that is ridiculous. Mac and I keep it real.
Mac: Usually, i think all religions are connected somehow through divinity. I studied the Qu’ran, The Torrah, Q’uabalah, and the Bible. And what I learned was how supreme the Aramaic and spiritual teachings are within those books, and the cryptic meanings behind them. But like all great things, there is always a dark side trying to manipulate it, turning man against man, using Religion as a tool to divide instead of understanding. So what we try to do with ‘Guerrilla Warfare’ is pretty much recombine it all. Let heads know that there is a higher understanding that is way bigger than their fantasy of cars, guns, jewelry, or whatever they fascinate about. Basically drive them away from imperialistic influence to the bigger issue at hand.
To have Peace in the war ravished worlds, what do you think each of us can do to help make a difference? Obviously we can’t trust our Government, is knowledge really power in regards to help bringing justice to the world?
Vega X: To help make a difference toward peace is very difficult. I would say do whatever you can to get off Uncle Sam’s grid. Grow your own food; try to figure out how to get your own sustainable energy. I think there is a lot each of us can do to help preserve the environment; knowledge is power in bringing justice to the world. I am personally of the opinion that justice may have to be brought to us by an off world source at this point. Look at the American Revolution, and the French revolution both carried out by Masons. What if a worldwide revolution occurred like the one Che envisioned with all of the world’s people rising up against the elite. If you research the ancient texts you’ll see the Annunaki slave masters who created humans, left their half human hybrid brethren here to rule over us as kings and queens. I think many of the sheeple who are the worker bees of the machine would wake up, and rise up if they had that kind of information.
Mac: I go second on what VX just said. When it really comes down to it, people want peace, and me and the homie are all for it. But to have Peace without War is just too unrealistic. The machine itself gave birth to such animosity as Racism and Classism to keep us away from their intentions of their true agenda. I grew up in the projects, and whatever you learn there is what you learn…But I think the biggest yet saddest fact I learned there was how much they didn’t want us to know than whatever you picked up from the streets. How much they wanted currency to be important to us, and to deprive us from a lot of things to see what we would do, how crazy, or cold we would get to survive in an environment they created to be hostile. And it’s crazy because it’s not just America, its worldwide. This is the reason why civil wars break out. But the thing is, as long as they have the power of fear to bring to the people, there can never be no peace. We need to become more resourceful, plan ahead, learn more on what they are doing and what we might be up against. Because truthfully, when it comes to learning, you can’t afford to be just a Pessimist or just an Optimist. You have to be aware of both fields, because like a HIV test, it can either come both ways, Negative or Positive.
