I’m not a DJ, I don’t make Beatz. LatinaBeatz was a screen name I came up with 10 years ago when I joined AOL, You were only allowed so many letters back then so I put 2 words together that fit what described me and what I love I am Latina and I love Music, Ritmo, Beatz, =LatinaBeatz

I’ve been on the net for so long people started calling me Beatz or Latina, when I started writing for Dubcnn.com, I just kept LatinaBeatz since people knew me by that and it’s stuck. Yes I thought about changing it but it’s to late.

So What do I do?

I do Arist/Model Management, Marketing, Promotion, Consulating, Interviews and off Publicist Services for Business, However I don’t just cater to Hip Hop or Music I have a huge network from Real Estate Agents to Taco Vendors, I know someone that does something. I have my website LatinaBeatz.com for not only my Business but also to speak on the things in my life that are important, Animals, Universal Compassion, Disaster Awareness Relief, Vegan/Vegetarian, Gay/Lesbian Issues, Basically just sending out things to people in my own opinion and my way of always making sure people remember to be thankful for what they have. I have a steady and rising following of people that respect and take what I say, suggest and promote very seriously, I don’t like Ego’s or superficial vain material things, I like to send the message out on everyday blessing I think we sometime miss or forget. I am honored to break so many stereo-types people assume of what I am, involved in or associated with. I educate people on how to think outside the box, because they are associated with me that’s one less ignorant person commiting a crime or negative reaction. I’m not a sales person but if I recommend something, people will buy it, which is why I have to take that responsibility very serious and be mindful and cautious of what I’m recommending.

I was raised and am blessed to share the same DNA as My Mother, this world is a better place because she’s in it. Name ANY Cause from the Planet, Fellow Humans to Animals, my mother is involved and has passed that on to me, I think in todays society that is lacking and which is why people really gravitate to what I do or say. My Personal blogs have become very popular and the main reason my following grows.

The key thing is to know, I have no Ego and don’t need constant validation, as long as I can help anyone, help someone else, that’s all the validation I need. It’s not about “Me” it’s about what we can do for eachother. I am big on Compassion. I am a very cool person, but I am not a pushover, I am very smart and quick, I don’t tolerate any disrespect, You teach people how to Treat you, so treat them to respect you as well.

-There is No Race in Hip Hop

I work in Management and Marketing, I have my own business, I currently work for Psycho Realm, Chino XL, DJ Khalil (Self Scientific) The New Royales Viral Team, Eric Bobo (Cypress Hill), Immortal Technique, I manage Ink Model Bambi (Model), Jihad, just to name a FewI also don’t conduct business with anyone who calls me Mami/Sexy/Cutey. What you think of me physically will not make me like your music any better or calling me outside my name makes me automatically reject your music. It’s a turn off, I’m not here to be turned on. Come correct or get corrected. Do you want to work with someone who flirts and has your money? I think not. I’m not a prude , I’m mad cool I just like boundaries. I’m not going to give a long list of acceptable names, cause thats stupid, Alexis, Latina, Beatz, etc.. that sounds good to me.

How did I get started?

Short story even shorter, in 04 a guy who wrote for Dubcnn.com would hit me up on a site and we would converse about Hip Hop. I know my Hip Hop. He knew some of the groups I was a fan of so he asked me if I wanted to do Interviews and Reviews on “Latin Hip Hop” -Not my favorite term. I had No idea what I was doing, he showed me the ropes, what questions to ask etc, introduced me to some people, I started getting good at interviews, meeting more and more people, Being that I am a female, I know music and I conduct myself in a professional business only way, I started getting asked to host Dvd Magazines, I started writing for another Site, Host my own Radio Showetc..

I’ve wrote for different sites, Different Media Projects.

How did I get into Promoting and Marketing?

I started out just posting Psycho Realm Shows, I am a HUGE Psycho Realm fan, I would spend my last dime on a ticket to see them live, thats how the Dude from the site actually started talking to me, He knew Sick Jacken. I never met The Realm but I always made it a point to tell everyone when their next show was, when I started getting on different media projects I always made it a point to get them on it or mentioned.

Being that I knew alot of people, I would see up and coming emcee’s, groups, I would start promoting the online and off, telling people, spreading the word, From there I would get asked from other Sites, etc who was hot or who was doing what.

When I was working on Raptalk thats actually all I did, Promoted and Marketed up and comers, which is why now I have alot of people who come to me and ask me for emcee’s, singers, etc when they need a show, or need to feature someone or just who to check out for new music.

And now, I do it all, I manage Models, I have my own Referral network, I have connects to everyone and everything you can think of, Notarys, Eye Glasses, Singers, Silk Screen Print, Tattoo Artists, Taco Vendors, Photographers, DJ’s of course!, etc…

I use Common Sense in how to Market someone’s business.

There is so much more I’ve done in between, but this is just the basics =)

How did I start working for Psycho Realm?

I had did their interview in 05, I was mad nervous, here I was interviewing my favorite fucken group! in 06 Jack introduced me to his manager Tone Lopez and from there Tone had me working their events, then I started handling their South American Translations.

People would come to me for info on Psycho Realm anyway so it was kind of natural for me to handle their Online PR. (Public Relations). Everything that you see about them goes through me first, I put everything out.

So now I’m part of their Management. I love every single minute of it. I work for 1 of my favorite groups, from going to spending my last dollar on a ticket to see them perform, I’ll often be on stage just trippen out, their music makes me high, I feel extremely proud of the music, their legacy, their culture and to be apart of that movement is something that I can’t even describe. I am not THE SICKEST PSYCHO REALM SOLDIER, I am 1 of the MANY. I am not the biggest fan because we are all World Wide.
